TT-V-51 (MILVAR-840): Asphalt Varnish

 

Description: Asphalt varnish is formulated from specifically designed asphalt tiles such as gilsonite and treated drying oils.  It dries with a smooth, black, lustrous finish (similar to black enamel). The dried film of the varnish is resistant to water and lubricating oil. The coating is intended to meet all needs for a general utility asphalt varnish, suitable for both outside and inside exposure.  It is particularly suited for painting of indoor water and gas pipes.

 

Conformance: This product conforms to TT-V-51, Revision F (the latest Revision).
